Coming to Xbox Live Marketplace - Gears of War 3 multiplayer beta, Mafia II and more!

Xbox Live's Major Nelson has revealed the list of upcoming contents that will be heading on the Xbox Live Marketplace in the coming days.

Starting on April 25th, Xbox Live members can finally join the battle for Sera and help shape the long awaited FPS spectacle when the Gears of War 3 multiplayer beta finally goes live. For those who preordered a copy of the game from participating GameStop retailers, you will receive three weeks of beta access and get an early taste of three competitive multiplayer modes on four brand new maps, as well as a chance to unlock exclusive contents. Bulletstorm: Epic Edition owners will get early access starting April 18 through the Bulletstorm disc.

Next week, Kinect Sports players around the globe will also have an opportunity to join the Xbox Nations as they attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the ‘largest online 100m sprint’ at 10 a.m. PDT on Saturday, April 23. "Players can participate by jumping on Xbox LIVE, firing up “Kinect Sports,” and running a 100-meter dash event at 10:00 a.m. PDT," according to the Major. "Each and every runner will be rewarded with an exclusive Xbox and Guinness World Record Avatar t-shirt." 

For those looking for some new contents but at a strict budget, you can get 50 percent off on map packs and add-ons for great games like Halo, Gears of War, Forza and more starting today until April 18. From April 19 to 25, you can also save as much as 50 percent on hit Sega titles including Sonic 4, Crazy Taxi, and Outrun Online Arcade!
