Air Jordan VII “Bordeaux” – 2011 Retro
2011 might just be remembered as one of the best years for many Jordan fanboys. The nostalgia of the 90’s has been somewhat resurrected with classics such as Cement III’s, Metallic V’s, Cardinal VII’s and finally the long awaited Concord XI’s all being released this year. To coincide with the array of other Jordan Brand retro’s, this release see’s the Air Jordan “Bordeaux” VII’s get a welcome retro for the first time since the original release back in ‘92.
It’s a pretty good release. Prettayy, pretty good. The black, light graphite and bordeaux colour combination is a low key affair, with occasional hits of yellows, subtle blues and olives on the tongue and outsole. They’re not colours you’d usually associate with MJ and the bulls, but it’s one of those non-Bulls inspired colour-ups that works so well. Going by the images circling the world wide web, it looks as if durabuck is the material choice on the upper. MJ wore these in the All-Star game back in ‘92, so Jordan connoisseurs can be assured these have the GOAT’s seal of approval.
One of the best releases this year for sure.
Available this Saturday April 16th at House Of Hoops London, Cooshti Bristol, and more.
